Carrera Cup Scandinavia is the first racing series in Scandinavia to introduce mandatory video cameras in all cars of the championship.
“This is a system that we strongly believe in and it is nice to be first of all in this important area,” said Thomas Johansson, Carrera Cup Scandinavia-general.

The cameras primary function is to be of assistance for the race director to judge incidents in the races.
“The cameras are going to give us a big advantage in our work to do fair judgements of incidents. It is especially important this year with the amount of cars in the championship,” said Börje Blomén, Race Director of Carrera Cup Scandinavia.

Reining Carrera Cup Scandinavia-champion Jocke Mangs considers the camera to be an important step.
“I think this is really good and it is for sure going to be useful this year’s tough championship,” said Mangs.

The video cameras record in HD-quality and is delivered by the Swedish company Sportscam.
“We are delighted to co-operate with Carrera Cup Scandinavia. We firmly believe that the cameras are going to add a new and important dimension for both the race directors and the competitors,” said Joakim Lundin, Sportscam.se.

The cameras are going to be delivered to the teams during the first official test day of the year at Karlskoga on the 9th of April.
